This time I came to Yizhuang for on-site office work, and I decided to stay at Fengda International Hotel Beijing for three days. Originally, I only came for its proximity to the project park, but when I opened the door, I realized that this room had hidden every detail of the facilities that business people had not mentioned.
At first glance upon entering, there are no redundant decorations. The embedded storage platform at the entrance is just enough to hold briefcases and computer bags, eliminating the need to bend down and pile up large and small bags on the ground. The hidden hook design next to it is particularly thoughtful, and jackets that have just returned from the outdoors or umbrellas that have been soaked in rain can be hung up easily without rubbing against clean walls and furniture.
What surprised me the most was the office area facing the window. The 1.2-meter-wide solid wood desk had no sense of cramped feeling at all, and the edges of the desktop were rounded to prevent collision. Even when staying up late to change the plan, the elbow would not feel uncomfortable. The socket layout on both sides of the desktop completely hits the pain point of business people: two USB-A ports and one Type-C port, which can charge computers, phones, and conference recorders at the same time without having to search for adapters. There are also hidden cable holes in the corners of the desk, so the power cords will not be scattered on the desktop in a messy way, and even my portable monitor can be stably placed. The matching ergonomic chair can adjust the height of the lumbar support, and after sitting for four to five hours to modify the project drawings, the waist did not become sore as usual.
The facilities in the bed area fully provide comfort, with a 2-meter-wide mattress that is moderately soft and hard, so you won't sink in when lying down. Even if you're busy in the early morning, you can quickly relax when lying down. There are independent control panels on both sides of the bedside table, which can control the lighting and curtains of the whole house without getting up. Even the charging port is directly embedded on the side of the bedside table. When brushing work messages before going to bed, the phone does not need to be pulled with a long line and placed on the ground. The most thoughtful feature is the small night light design at the bedside, which eliminates the need to turn on the main light to wake up the newly accumulated drowsiness when getting up at night. The warm yellow glow can just illuminate the way to the bathroom.
The details of the bathroom facilities are also reassuring, with a dry wet separation layout that does not wet the washing area at all. The constant temperature showerhead has stable water output, and after a busy day, taking a hot shower with just the right water pressure and temperature can relieve fatigue all over the body. The storage rack next to the basin has reserved enough space, so my razor, skincare products, and portable conference mouthwash can be neatly arranged without the embarrassment of having nowhere to put them. The front lights of the mirror have been treated with soft light, so that in the morning, when dressing up and trying out formal attire in front of the mirror, the light is even and not glaring, and even shadows will not fall on the face.
After staying for three days, I didn't encounter any anti human facility designs, and every configuration seemed tailor-made for business people on long-term business trips. Compared to many hotels that only stack high-end hardware, this room in Fengda International Hotel Beijing truly understands the meaning of 'comfortable living and easy work' for business travelers.
